Design for a Cause
A POWerful Brand for the 2016 Race for the Cure®
Susan G. Komen San Antonio approached Düable to help design the branding collateral for their 2016 5K Run/Walk Race for the Cure in San Antonio. They wanted to showcase the superhuman strength the women and families that endure breast cancer possess, in a fun and exciting way.
Enter our Superheroes
We needed to design a superhero to represent the #PowerOfPink and the #PowerOfWomen, who could champion the 2016 event. Düable jumped in to create marketing materials for print and social media to help draw attention to the event and make it POP.
Making Pink Pop
The 19th Annual Race for the Cure took place on April 9, 2016, and we took it upon ourselves to help make this the most fun and exciting event yet. We wanted to equip Susan G. Komen's team with everything they needed to get people pumped about the race. It all started with our superhero. Once we had our ambassador of strength, we began to lay out the event posters, save the dates, and brochures.
Spreading the Word
Düable also created social media templates so all of the announcements about the upcoming events could remain on-brand. Those templates were then transformed to life-size selfie frames for posing at the event! The team found every possible way to use the designs to keep people engaged and excited, like turning the poster into a coloring sheet for kids.
A Sea of Support
The Race was a huge success and a rewarding project for our team. We walked the 5K as Team Düable and got to see thousands of people supporting the cause, with their pink capes and full-on superhero attire. Generations of families, and even family pets walked together to raise money, awareness, and hope for the cure for breast cancer. We were very proud to be a part of the event, and overjoyed at the relationship we’ve built with an amazing organization.
