Ron Nirenberg approached us to produce a website that is reflective of his traits as a politician: responsive, involved, energetic, fast-paced, and forward-facing. We were excited to take on the challenge, and immediately came to the conclusion that utilizing a website that is constantly updated through Ron’s social media channels would effectively display his activities and personality to his constituents and residents of San Antonio. His website automatically displays his most recent content from YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.
As with any political communication, it was vital to include Ron’s vision for his constituents as well as his priorities. In our collective database of analytics from our previous political websites, we know that most visitors are keenly interested in finding out what drives the candidate.
Ron comes across as a candidate that is able to cross party lines due to his values. It is refreshing to find a politician that holds true to his or her values and makes sure their decisions are right for the constituents, not a personal agenda. We brought Ron’s checklist of values to the forefront for visitors to get a glimpse of how he makes decisions.
An exciting feature that we are building into Ron’s website as a proprietary plugin we’ve developed to house and display conversations that occur on social media. When a person posts a message to Ron with a certain hashtag, that post will be displayed on a page where visitors can see the initial question and Ron’s responses in a threaded format. This will allow constituents to get a first-hand response from Ron that is then made public for other’s who want more information on the same subject.
All political candidates need support, and we designed Ron’s site to be as engaging as possible with easy to identify iconography, large type, and colorful photos.
Our aim was to avoid any and all confusion that user’s might encounter. All buttons and links are simply labeled, and all content on the site is organized into easily defined sections and pages.
